We are delighted and proud that Ina Boyle Society patron, John Gilhooly, has been appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in recognition of his services to music in the 2022 Honours list.
John has been a staunch supporter of Ina’s music and the work of the Ina Boyle Society, and has been crucial in bringing her music to light. Thanks to his support, projects such as the recent Song CD (which was recorded at the Wigmore Hall, at which John is Artistic and Executive Director) were made possible and have helped Ina’s music gain international recognition. We are extremely thankful for his continued support of the society.
