Music for Wexford present the wonderful pairing of Benjamin Russell, baritone and Niall Kinsella, piano on Friday 21st November 2025.
“Irish baritone Benjamin Russell was a member of the ensemble of the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Germany, where he performed a wide repertoire of roles from Mozart to Wagner. Winner of the Richard Tauber Prize for the best interpretation of Schubert Lieder at the Wigmore Hall Song Competition 2019, Benjamin has been praised for his “powerful baritone voice” (Bachtrack) and “outstanding diction” (Opera Magazine). Together with pianist Niall Kinsella, he performs a programme of songs by Beethoven and Schubert, Ina Boyle’s Three Songs by Walter de la Mare, selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs and George Butterworth’s beloved and touching song-cycle, A Shropshire Lad.” (Music for Wexford).
