This month, the historic King House Boyle, Co. Roscommon, Ireland, will host ‘From the Danube to the Dodder’: Dialogues for Cello, Accordion & Violin, performed by the incredible trio of Adrian Mantu (cello), Dermot Dunne (accordion), and Sebastian Tegzesiu (violin).
The concert features the music of Ina Boyle alongside works by George Enescu, Constantin Dimitrescu, Ciprian Porumbescu, Niccolò Paganini, Astor Piazzolla, Turlough O’Carolan, Saint-Saëns, and Ennio Morricone.
Cellist Adrian Mantu, alongside his colleagues in the ConTempo Quartet, has been a passionate champion of Ina Boyle’s chamber music, bringing her String Quartet in E minor to live audiences across Ireland in a series of critically acclaimed national performances. Mantu also continues to celebrate vibrant Irish-international collaborations on his recent album Cello Accordion Ireland.
