Chamber Music between the Wars

Ina Boyle's music is again featured in the first of four string quartet concerts. This collection includes a selection of quartets composed in the 1930's. Boyle's Quartet in E minor (1934) will be performed by the RTE concert orchestra on September 11th, celebrating chamber music composed between the War years. This was one of the few works performed publicly during Boyle's lifetime, even achieving a radio broadcast in 1937 and a recording by the Macnaghten Quartet.
